Description: A scholarship opportunity is available for students interested in pursuing advanced research in the field of virology and viral zoonoses, focusing particularly on understanding the innate immune responses to influenza viruses mediated by interferon-stimulated genes.
The project aims to dissect the molecular events involved in the pathobiology of influenza viruses, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as high-throughput screening platforms. The scholarship includes training in state-of-the-art molecular virology, host-pathogen interactions, and zoonotic aspects of influenza viruses in susceptible animals like chickens and pigs. Students will have the opportunity to work with industry stakeholders and present their research at national and international symposiums.
